Mosquitoes are an annoyance. Not only are they responsible for irritating bites, but they can also carry diseases like Dengue Fever that can pose a serious health risk for humans and pets. Mosquitoes thrive in environments with plenty of water supply. In fact, a source of water is essential for a mosquito’s reproductive cycle. In your home, this may include buckets, fishponds, pools, drink bottles and the bottom of pot plants. Hot and humid environments are also ideal for a mosquito to breed and survive.

Identifying a mosquito infestation is rather easy, as you will see a lot of mosquitos and likely have a lot of bites! Recognising an infestation in its early stages can be more difficult, so it’s important to understand the lifecycle of a mosquito so that you can spot them from the early stages.
